You guys, I loved this scene.  It’s scenes like this that make Parks and Rec what it is.  Any other sitcom could (and probably would) have gone for a joke here.  The absurdly overly-optimistic guy must have some sort of equally absurd reason for his optimism right?  Nope.  Instead they give us an incredibly endearing and downright inspiring reason for his positivity, which not only makes Chris an even more interesting character, but it also lets us feel the same sort attraction that Ann starts to feel for the guy.

Basically, if you aren’t watching Parks and Rec, you should be evaluating the decisions that you have made.  They clearly aren’t the best.
